GrabIt Search seems to be unavailable

Some antivirus software or firewall software can block the GrabIt Search. This will result in one of the following two situations:

  1. A popup with the following message: "The Grabit Search service seems to be unavailable at the moment. Please try again later. Connection closed Gracefully".


  2. The GrabIt Search busy indicator keeps spinning but never returns any results.


An easy fix for this is to go into the Edit->Preferences->GrabIt Search panel and change the port number. There are only two possible ports at the moment, so just switch to the other available port and see if that helps.
